Custody questions.

Can i get full custody of my son?
The father is VERY unstable, we are not married.
I am planning on moving before the baby comes so i can get away from him...
I wouldn't feel safe if he was alone with the baby...
He has threatened to kill himself and i had to call the cops on him.
He is on a rollercoaster and has made me hate him with a passion..
He wants me as stressed as i can get and as unhappy as i can get, VERY emotionally abusive....

Im not planning on having his name on the birth certificate...I want my baby to have a good life and i know that would he without a father like him...

I think only way is if gives up his custodial right. But I also know that if he is not placed on a birth certificate at birth a paternity test is to be given in order to give the child a "legal" father and give him rights. Best of luck!

You should be able to get custody forsure. If you have had to call the police, they should have a report of the problem, which you can use in court. I think that you should have his name on the birth certifcate as I think you need that so you can get child support from him. If he isnt stable enough to be in your babys life emotionally and physicallly, you should still get money from him to help with the costs of baby. As it did take to two of you to make the baby.

Dont put him on the birth certificate and don't give the baby his last name!!!!!

If he wants custody then he will have to go to court to prove it.
I also means that you won't be able to get child support unless you go to court but who cares if he is a unstable!

Oh hun, I'm sorry you're going through this. First thing first I would move out ASAP and get a restraining order against him. This way when you do try getting complete custody of your son, it will be on file that you feared for you and your unborn son's safety while being around him. Def get in talks with a lawyer about this as it could get ugly. Praying for you!

Also call the police if he starts to threaten you or suicide again. The more police records you have on him the more it will go in your favor in the event you have to go to course.

Thank you ladies,
@cass: his name will NOT be on the birth certificate, nor will the baby have his name. And i could care less for child support...I want myself and my child safe...
@Greats: i will be talking to a lawyer and moving next month out of state..

Do you know if i move out of state, can i move AGAIN to a different state after he is born?
