I had to end up using cloth for my daughter as she was allergic to basically everything else. Even had to get a prescription diaper rash cream for her because she was constantly breaking out. Of the brands I tried the Walmart ones were the worst for leakage, most other store brands were okay and Huggies were good as well. I never tried Pampers so can't speak for them. I kind of want to try Seventh Generation or Earth's Best this time around but I hear mixed reviews about leakage from them. I'm just hoping I don't have to use cloth again, it did save money but it was a lot of washing and grandparents would never stop complaining about having to take the extra steps to use them.

We used Huggies newborn as we liked the starter kit they done so that's what made our minds up lol and they were great until about size 2 I think where they just didn't fit right so we went to Pampers for a while.

We found Pampers leaked really bad, esp during the night and DD ended up getting really bad nappy rash with them.

We then went back to Huggies at the next size when they fitted her good again and still use Huggies during the night with her now.

Will probably end up buying Huggies again for this one but our local Asda don't seem to sell many now - think they must have a deal with Pampers as that's all there is...... sh*t loads of Pampers and their own and only a handful of Huggies! Grrr

I think cloth might have moved on a bit from what you've used - there's no extra steps for anyone putting them on/taking them off, at least with any of the ones we use - they work exactly the same as disposables. It's only me that has to fold them up after washing and put the liners in. I do one extra wash a week these days, which I can live with to get to use pretty nappies

Mind you, my MIL still can't seem to get the hang of them and even put one on inside out even though it's patterned on one side and clearly plain and 'absorbent' looking on the other (think she's doing it deliberately in silent protest, she doesn't have to do anything but undo the velcro and put it on his bum so don't know why she seems to not like them!)

We use reusables now since about 11 months old but did use sposies from birth and still use one for bedtime. We tried Huggies and Pampers. Never got on with huggies and the only type of pampers we got on with and still do are Pampers Baby Dry

Re-usables ALL the way. Used them with DS from when he was a few months old until he potty trained himself around his 2nd birthday. Kept all of them so will only have to buy some newborn cloth nappies. I think once you get used to them you wouldn't ever want to stick a disposable on your baby's bum, they are so much more FUN

I agree, once you get used to cloth they are so easy and cool to use. I will be using from birth this time

I used Pampers with my boys and they were great, we didn't get on with Huggies. But I am hearing good things about Asdas own brand so might give them a go this time, if not we will be using Pampers again.
