Where to aim this doppler??

So I got my Doppler!! Yehhhhhh. Not sure where I should be pointing it, just under my belly button it picked up a hb of 158 but lower down was 124. I don't know if I'm doing it right, i don't always hear the hb it just comes up on the screen. Help I'm hopeless at this!

I always find my baby really low. Like by my hairline/pubic bone. 158 sounds like what the babys heart rate should be around.

I'm about the same stage as you and mine is still really low, just above my pubic bone, slightly off centre. I only have a cheap angelsounds doppler and can hear it clearly so once you hear it, you should be certain

I also always find mine down low, right on the hairline. Press firmly but not too hard, and just be patient- it takes awhile. In terms of "aiming" it, I always just press directly perpendicular to my belly.

You'll know it when you find it- you said you've heard the baby before at the midwife, and that chugga chugga chugga is pretty unmistakable! Stick with it and let us know when you find it!

PS- can't always rely on the LCD readout unfortunately, as it varies. Try to find something you can hear!

I FOUND IT! Yehhhhhhhhhh thanks ladies, right on the hairline. Loud and strong. I was going to say are these hb rates on these screens right, it seemed to go up and up and really fluctuate, anything between 120 - 145 but it never really stayed on a number.

I'll just Listen from now on, as long as I can hear it!!!! Thank so much ladies xxxx
