Just letting you know I used those walmart tests this cycle and they were the first to show a bfp. I was somewhere around 11-12 dpo and got lines so faint I thought they were evaps. The next day, the line wasn't much stronger but I got them on 3 different tests so I did a digi and it came back pregnant 1-2 weeks. I did another Walmart test this morning with fmu and it FINALLY came back with an obvious (but still very faint) line-4 days after my first positive test. I get lines the earliest with these tests but they stay faint the longest. I agree with pp and think you should go in for some more labs. It's possible you weren't far enough along when you went in for your hCG to be elevated. And as someone previously mentioned, your risk for an ectopic is huge right now so it doesn't hurt to get checked out for that reason too.
yes, the definition for medically pregnant is over 5, but you still have HCG in your system regardless and that doesn't make a lot of sense especially with the lines you are still getting. What was 2 one day, could be 5 now...HCG is HCG. Something is causing that. For your peace of mind and your physical health, you need to let your OBGYN know what is going on and they need to order bloods and do another ultrasound to make sure everything is okay. Having lines on a pregnancy test "just b/c" is not normal as far as I know. I know this is hard. But make the call. We are here for you.
I've been trying not to think about it and very busy with work and I do think I'll get a negative eventually.
You had your tubes tied hun , you do not have the luxury to just hope for a negative. You seriously need to be seen, I am a nurse who has worked in a Ob/GYN office and now work in ER. A positive whilst having tubal ligation is extremely dangerous! Even life threatening if ignored. Please, Please go to the ER asap again or call your doctor and tell them what is happening. they will want to see you right away. Im begging you hun please go.
Ignoring it won't make it go away. There's something going on that's putting hCG in your urine. My aunt has a friend who had her tubes tied and got a BFP three months later because the surgery failed and one tube grew back together. Only it didn't grow properly and the pregnancy was compromised. She ended up miscarrying twins (according to the path report) at 8 weeks and landed in the hospital for bleeding. To this day, they still aren't sure if the pregnancy was ectopic or if the eggs were damaged coming thru the scarred tube. Please go in and get checked out. It's far better to KNOW what's going on even if it's nothing, than to not know and have serious complications.
