Ok I will start by explaining what has happened with me and my girlfriend so far. We decided to have mothing but unprotected intercourse during the whole month of June hoping to conceive. My girlfriends period was due on the end of June/beginning of July but has now been late for 6 days. She is experiencing changes in her body, for example her breasts are swelling her hips are larger and she is getting hungrier and hungrier. She has explained to me sometimes SOME of these symptoms occur before she is about to have her period but has never felt it like this.. and to top it off she has been late for 6 days. She hasnt seen her mother for more than 3 weeks and when she finally saw her the first thing her mother said was 'my daughter you look different, are you pregnant by any chance'. She didnt know, so she bought a pregnancy test.
She took it yesterday in the morning as instructed. She called me to give me the news that it tested negative. I am very surprised and I am wondering if it is possible there was a mistake in the test or if it was still too early to do a test. Should we wait till next month, see if she misses her period again, and try the test.. Should we go see a doctor.. Her mother had the same situation occur to her with the birth of my girlfriends older sister. Her mother had taken a pregnancy test and it showed negative. A month later she took another test and the results were positive. Could it be my girlfriend took the test too early in the pregnancy.
My other worry, which is giving me a ton of stress right now, is unfertility (spelling?). Could it be she is unable to have children (is this hereditary by any chance, two of her aunts are unable to have children), or could the problem be with me?
I am really worried and hoping this is not the case. Any insight on the matter or answers would be really apreciated. Thank you.
no I am sure you are fine. Well you never know, but most people don't get PG withing the 1st month of trying. Keep trying it will happen one day. Most men also don't know that there is only a small window of a couple days that a women can get pregnant, my hubby of 12 years and 2 kids didn't lol. but if you are not having sex in that time frame then you won't get pregnant. She should get more in tune with her body and find out when she ovulates and such and you will have a better chance. Read up on it, in books, online etc... good luck
& Yes, my girlfriend was on the pill. She stopped taking them, and the next day we started our journey. We spent two weeks having unprotected intercourse untill I had to leave. So if I understand right her body needs time to readapt itself before we can proceed to conceive a child. That would make a lot of sense as to why it did not work.
We will spend the next months trying and trying. We will not stop. I will inform myself on her ovulation dates so we can hit the target right hahaha.
Thank you for help, I will keep all of you posted as to what happens.
