Cheap strip tests and evap lines. Added pic post#7

Hi everyone....what a fun informative forum. I've been searching all over the internet the last couple days for a place like this and you guys are the best. I don't think I'll ever clean house again, my plan is to sit here and stare at pictures of pregnancy tests all day long....the negative ones are fun to analyze and positives are downright beautiful...a POAS addicts dream!

I have a question about the cheap internet stick HPT's, they are blue E-P-T ones. This is the first time I've actually followed when I ovulated, but I'm pretty sure it was on Dec. 24th, so I think that makes me about 9DPO. I started testing with the cheap internet tests pretty early, like about 6-7DPO. A couple have had a very faint almost shadow-like line that is very difficult to see. Just someone with the eagle-eyes of a madwomen willing there to be a line could see it. lol This morning the line showed up in the 5 min time frame, and has stuck around all day.
So, on to my question.....does it sound like an evaporation line and is this common of these particular tests?
When is the earliest I should expect to see a clear positive line on these particular tests, if I am pregnant?

Thank you so much ladies!!

If the line showed up within 5 mins and was pink in colour then I would say its a but if the line is thin white/grey then sorry to say its an evap, but evaps can still sometimes lead to a lovely have you got any pistures you can post hun? Really hope its a for you Good luck fingers crossed and for you xx

Lines that show up in the time limit aren't usually evaps as they appear once the test has dried. I've used loads of those tests and I've actually had very few evaps on them. If the line seems to have colour (I know it's very hard to tell with faint lines), is wide like the contol line and show up within 5 minutes it's probably a good one x

Thanks for helping me out!

I tested again this morning, 10DPO, and I could see a super faint grayish line at 5 min. At 30 min it was a little darker....still very faint though and had a definite pinkish tinge. Now it's completely dried and it's looks like a pink evaporation wave....my line is bleeding off to one side! Not sure how to explain it. I took a bunch of pictures but it doesn't really show up. This is crazy.... I try not to get my hopes up, but my heart stops when I think I see a real line....

I guess, I'll know for sure, one way or the other in a few days.
Thanks again!

I had been producing so many evaps it took me 3 days before I would believe it was a BFP. It sounds promising tho.... normally I had to wait 20 minutes to get my evap to "pop"

I tested with a First Response early result test this morning and it was a . I should be about 11 dpo, so I'm beginning to lose hope.

13 DPO, AF is due tomorrow and I've felt crampy.

First Response:

Internet cheapie strip: Big FAT Evaporation Smudge. (It has no definition, so I can't really call it a line, and it was obvious 30 minutes after I took the test.)

What do you think?

Has anyone ever had anything that looked like this that turned into a positive? I know, I'm grasping at straws here.
