Position of 'cross' on Boots early response

Morning ladies

Recently I've had irregular periods so I'm anywhere between 8 and 13 dpo.

The Boots own label early response tests give you a cross if you are pg but does anyone know if position is important?
For the last two days I have been getting the faintest lines but off centre whereas in the diagram both lines go through the dead centre. Or could they be evaps? Would an evap show in the 2 min time frame?

I suspect I'm clutching at straws though :-)

Thanks for your help.

Hx

I believe they need to be centered but I am not 100% sure. Can you post a photo of one?

I have had an "evap, false positive" show up on a clear blue almost as soon as I peed on it so I guess its fair to says sometimes lines do show up that fast. But it could also just be early and the lines are just fainter at the moment.

GL!!!!!

If it is blue dye, thin, and off-centered its more than likely an evap! Do you have a pic?

This is the offending test. Not even sure the line will be visible on here...

I dont think the exact position of the line is essential - just means the strip isnt centered in the cassette maybe?
But i do think the thickness of the line is important, it should be as thick as the control.
These blue dye tests can give nasty evaps, i had one last cycle myself

Wishing you heaps of luck though

Thanks for replying Dee.

I'm hoping, since i may only be 8DPO it's an early BFP (although I actually doubt it).

I got a very similar one yesterday...

I see it...but I've had SOOOOOO many heartbreaking blue dye evaps in the past my gut tells me to tell you not to go making facebook pregnancy announcements just yet [lol]

Maybe try a FRER or something with pink dye. If that blue line is really a blue line, it'll show up as a pink line on a pink dye test

Good luck! I hope this is your BFP!

Thanks a lot.

I'm prepared for the worst and bought Tampax on the way into work.
On the way home I'll buy pink ink HPTs - I felt silly buying both together this morning :-)
