Darker test result line on answer than frer?

I took a frer this morning with smu and got a v faint positive in a few minutes.. im about 7-8dpo. I just bought an answer early result and the control line is thicker than the frer control line was and more noticeable and better looking than the frer was and my pee was kinda diluted just now i took the answer early test and the test line is darker than the frer? has this happened to anyone? i thought frer were more sensitive than answer early? thanks.. also sorry dont have a picture my camera is broken

I wouldn't compare different brands to eachother - I'd try (and probably fail) not to compare them at all.

Thanks so much guys.. yeah. its weird! I was going to buy another box of frer's but then noticed they changed the answer early tests? they dont have a cap anymore or the pregnant/not pregnant writing on the test and now the box says it detects BOTH FORMS of pregnancy hormone? At first i thought i got ovulation tests or something but the box picture has them blank with no cap also and i looked on FERTILITYFRIEND and see recent picture's of peoples answer early tests and its the same exact test stick. I wonder if answer early is more sensitive than frer now? frer box doesnt say it detects both hormones?

Am I being totally stupid, what is the other form of pregnancy hormone? I obviously know that they detect HCG but what else?

The Digitals detect LH and HCG but they are mistaken as LH is not a pregnancy hormone.
Answer and FRER are made from the same company church & Dwight and have the same sensitivity ,The answers are like a generic FRER and yes they are being made cheaper now without the pregnant /not pregnant on the side. its likely that the answer was darker because your second urine sample just had more HCG. Congratulations!.

I was wondering about the Answer tests too... I know my ticker says o'ing today but my opks are saying different.. I had to use provera to bring on a period and last weekend I had bloody ewcm but thought it was still part of my af that came on the 17th but I was still cramping to..the dh and I have been bding for a week now missing tuesday only.. Lasr night I had super creamy wet cm that was a yellowish brown on my finger but when on the tp it was pinkish... Someone suggested testing because they thought maybe ib... I jumped the gun and did and I have pics but cant post them because I have no internet connection right now but I will be glad to message the pic I am curious about and maybe see if it is like yours or if I am seeing things... I could be 7dpo or still waiting to O.. I have no idea anymore so I will be bding away...
Sorry for jumping on your thread... Maybe someone can help us both...

Oh yeah.. To me the line looks thick and pink too but more so on my phone...

New answers pick up h-hcg. Look on my thread it has info about this. H-hcg picks up pregnancy before just the hcg hormone does. Not all tests detect h-hcg.
