Isnt a line a line no matter where it is if it has colour ? I used opks to monitor my hcg drop (I couldn't find IC here) and sometimes the line would be slightly off ??? Isnt it more a manufacturing default but the line is still picking up hcg ?
Not always if it is a dye run it will show two lines in odd spots/too far from control line or too close. We hope this is a true bfp though. Cheap tests kinda are known to have faulty batches sometimes it can have false positive on 5 out of 100 tests or more its a hit or miss. I've had a few friends that had cancer in uterus and had full hysterectomy help me use my tests to conduct experiments and they have had positive results a few times. So, I always tested with another brand before getting excited.
Maybe we should go back to testing with bunnies? That's sad though I shouldnt joke about that. But, seems like testing isn't always accurate or as easy as it should. When did getting evaps happen etc. Kwim?
I think in Spain it used to be with frogs (I get a feeling the frog died too, poor froggy)
And yes, it is a false. I had already done a test or two that day, and they were white, so even if the line had been in the right place, I just couldn't have had all of a sudden sooo much hcg that sent the test dark pink. The third test actually had 3 lines, but just very faint.
I have a nice kit of "real" tests in the cupboard, I just won't pee on them unless something drastic happens like AF not coming. I have no idea why but there is nothing so depressing for me then peeing on a frer and it being white. But when I pee on an IC, its white and I totally don't care, it sort of keeps its all very light-hearted for me!
Talking about my kit of tests.... I live in Spain, we can't get superdrug here, I actually bought the only superdrug test i could find on ebay. It was from a pregnant woman, who had a 2 pack, peed on one, saw she was pregnant, and just sold the other test, and I thought: What is wrong with that woman peeing on just one bloody test!!!! Is she mad or not right in the head???? Anyway, I have that test, I have 2 boots digital (its the only test I could find that just said "pregnant", without the week thing, the day I am pregnant I don't want my family pondering over the week bit.!!! I have 3 twin packs of frers, and some clearblue digis. Its like I have a secret stack or something, I feel like Gollum sometimes looking at them, especially when I guiltily close the cupboard when DH pops up behind me. You know, I am married to one of those "Why don't you just go the doctors when AF is late" men. Anyway, I took an IC now, it looks very boring and white, so things are "back to normal" XXXX
