Hi all

I have never ever used an opk before in my life till today. Basically I bought a job lot of opks and hcg tests from a lovely lady on B&B. Today I am on cd 27 of a 30 day cycle.

I used one of the hcg tests earlier and it was stark white. Just been for a wee and used an opk for the hell of it (i like peeing on sticks ) and it is positive?

The test line is the same darkness as the control line. Does this mean I have only just O'd?

So confused! Xxx

Well, It can mean you are going to ovulate, or it can mean you are pregnant, or it can mean you are going to have AF (some women have a LH surge before AF). XXXX

Rereading that, it sounds very ambiguous and unhelpful! But I do find opk's are, unless you combine them or you know you are ovulating because of cm temps or ov pain. I even know ladies get positive opk's in the middle of their cycle and then not even ovulate, as the LH surge doesn't guarantee ovulation happening. Its all really confusing! Where are you in your cycle ?

Im on cd27 of a 30-32day cycle! I thout I had O pains around cd18!

I think it could just mean AF is around the corner then! I didnt know it could do that! Dont think there is any chance of Ovulating on cd27 really?

If the opk was an indicator of preg then I would have had a pos hcg as well I guess!

Its all really contradictory, some people say that when pregnant, you only get a +opk when you already have a positive hpt. Other women say they had a positive opk before getting a positive hpt. The only possibility of ovulating again is if the first try didn't work the body tries to ovulate again, if you had ov pains its probably not likely. Fxd for a positive hpt to match your opk XXXX
