Does this mean baby has dropped?

I had my 33week + 6day midwife appointment today and the lady said baby was head down and engaged and has wrote in my notes 3/5's palpable.. so i was wondering if this means he's dropped i've had a look at my bump and my bump is always changing but it's always been really low throughout the whole pregnancy so i have no clue.

Also could this be why i keep getting sharp shooting pains everytime i walk and some times even when i sit down in my pelvis i get sharp pains sort of the left of my pelvis.. i get them quite alot with like breaks in between and they never last long. I thought maybe it's braxton hicks? xx

I'd say maybe! I have no experience as this is my first child as well lol but since they save baby is engaged you're probably going to be getting more aches & pains from here on out.

yep, baby is starting to decend into the pelvis I thought I had dropped a little but when my dr told me baby was head down but not far into the pelvis (didn't say how far). Going to start sitting on my ball more to see if it helps speed up the process. My son didn't drop until labor

Also just wondering when i was getting poked and prodded in my belly she had to wait a minute or so til my belly softened as it tightened up.. any idea why it done this? it wasn't painful or anything just strange.. xx

That tightening was a contraction. Being it was painless it was most likely a Braxton Hicks. I am on my 4th and I still don't know if I've dropped...lol With my oldest my mother told me I dropped the day I started getting contractions (started contracting the 8th of October and she was born the 10th) I don't recall feeling like I dropped or even waddling for that matter. With my second child I don't recall dropping at all. I started contracting at 34 weeks, dr stopped them and I ended up going over my due date but dont remember dropping at all. With my youngest I don't think I had a chance to drop. I was induced at 36 weeks and she was still floating according to the L&D nurse. I am currently 36 weeks 2days (actually exactly as far as I was with my youngest when she was born) and everyone around me says I've dropped. Someone who has seen me throughout my pregnancy saw me yesterday and said I have dropped A LOT! I don't know...I do feel heavy down there but I didn't have my dr check me today, I just don't feel like she would have told me I am still closed and thick (just like last week) so I let it be. I will have her check on Friday though before heading into the weekend.

And wow 10th of October? that's my due date haha. Heres hoping your little ones dropped and won't keep you waiting too long .. i see some bump pictures on here and can see obvious drops in bumps but i don't think my bump could get any lower if it tried lol xx
