I spend a lot of time lying down lately on either side. Not on my front because bump is in the way and not on my back because it's just uncomfortable. Lying on my side is the only position where I actually feel comfortable and can relax properly, even sitting on my ball hurts.
Is it possible to spend too much time lying down? To the point where it could delay or prevent labour? I have an induction booked for the 21st and I'm hoping to go into labour naturally before then. I do spend some time sitting up, like when I'm working on the baby scrapbook for example, and I do bits and bobs around the house each day, I have a lot of time on my hands atm so sorry for the random question
no, it's fine. Relax as much as you can/need to.
I know you only mentioned lying down, but just as FYI, avoid slouching/having your back curved as this can make baby go back to back = long painful labour.
Thanks yeah I'd heard about that, as far as I know she's not back to back but I've been thinking of grinning and bearing it and spending more time sitting on my ball so I'm sat up more to try and prevent her from turning that way.
