Do you bring a diaper bag to the hospital?

Hello!

I just wasn't sure if you bring a diaper bag in addition to your hospital bag to the hospital/birthing center for delivery. I'm a first timer so I have no idea.

I just have a backpack that I'm packing up with my hospital "goodies". My husband is making up his own little bag. Should I make up baby's bag, too?

Thanks!!

You take a bag full of your things upto 3 days stay and a bag for the baby up to 3 days stay seeing as your first you might be staying in but it will all depend

I have a bag packed for myself and just a few of OH's things. It's mainly just clothing, nursing bras, toiletries, etc. I also have a bag (which is bubs' nappy bag) filled with things for her like onsies, singlets, and all that stuff

Sounds good! I'll be doing her bag then, too. I just wasn't sure if I was over-complicating things... I don't want them to think I'm moving in!

But it seems to make the most sense to have baby's own bag since mine will be full?

Don't worry about that Hun I have took a big bag in for both me and my first when I had him and because I'm on my fourth I know now how much to take in and how much I shouldn't....

I always packed my diaper bags as if I was going out in public everything in there I would need, or just in case items. And yes I took my to the hospital. Actually have my diaper bag packed with outfits and everything else I will need or might need for lo. Even though the hospital provides pretty much everything but cute clothes.

You are in the US, so the hospital provides pretty much everything baby will need, but I still take a diaper bag. My diaper bag contains cute outfits for hospital pictures, burp cloths, etc. I also left enough room in it to bring home all the extra goodies the hospital gives you.

Oh yeah, most hospitals/birthing centers specifically tell you to bring a baby bag, filled with some clothes, blankets, diapers, creams, burp cloths etc. Baby needs her things too!
