Membrane sweep at 38+4, will it work?

I'm having a membrane sweep tomorrow at 38 + 4 weeks. Just wondering if anyone's had it around that time or earlier and has it worked? I had one with my DS at 39 + 2 and I'm pretty sure it got things going. I lost my mucous plug the next day, waters broke day after that, then next day after he was born. Just don't want to get my hopes up tomorrow as it's a bit earlier.

Cool thanks for replying, I was just wondering how effective they were in general. I know the earlier you have it done the less likely it will probably work. Sorry it hasn't worked for you, x
