A little embarrassed but what are these little purple bumps?
I have discovered a cluster of small purple bumps on my outer labia and only noticed it after something felt a little sore.
I got the mirror out and had a quick look and was horrified to find a cluster of about 5-6 of these little purple spots! I have had a quick look on google but can't really find an answer.
My husband and I have been having a few problems lately but he swears he has not had any sexual contact with anyone else and I have to beleieve him so I really want to rule out an STI but I am really freaking out!
I am trying to got through all possibilities in my head like shaving but it has been a good few weeks since I shaved down there. I also had a sweep a few days ago and know that sometimes I can be a bit sensitive where latex is concerned (I hate condoms!) and also read something about varicose veins but I am so confussed.
Has anyone else ever had this? If I go into labour I am going to get the midwife to check it as I don't want it to be something that could harm the baby
It doesn't sound like an STI to me. The whole area at this stage is very sensitive and it could be tiny bruises or broken/burst blood vessels? Or the start of varicose veins or ingrown hairs from shaving?
I once some tiny skin tags grow on the area in my last pregnancy, I got them removed as I was panicked as to what they were and it was just pregnancy hormones making skin tags
Hope it disappears pretty quickly, mention it to your midwife if you're worried.
I turned to Google for your answer and found tons of post similar and most posted their Dr say it was vericose veins which can be painful...I'd say don't worry abt sti as I've never heard of a purple bump causing one...just ask ur Dr next visit.
