Mucus plug lost at 33 weeks

Hey Ladies,

I lost some of my plug this morning. I called L&D and the nurse told me not to worry because it could still be more than a month before I go into labour.
There was no blood.. just a hunk of yellowy phelgm after some air ame out.

I'm just wondering if any of you have positive stories about losing the plug and nothing happening for a while. I don't want to have a sick little one, if I don't have to.

Thanks!!

Lots of women lose plug early - it can regenerate itself, not to worry!!! You only need to be concerned if it's bloody.

^^^wss.

I wouldn't worry to much as long as you don't get clumps with blood-red or brown. You could mention it at your scan tomorrow, maybe they'll be able to look at stuff to ease your mind.

I lost some a couple times around 32 weeks...didn't have him until 39 weeks, it totally didn't affect when I had him!

I've been losing chunks of what looks like mucus plug for weeks, like huge chunks several times a day since probably 33 weeks. I'm not convinced that's really what it is though, but it looks like what a mucus plug looks like (without the blood). Baby's not even engaged yet, so I don't think it means much.
