Waking up in a hot sweat..

A couple of times lately I've woken up in the middle of the night completely soaking wet from head to toe... I mean like sweat pouring off me to the point that I've even considered my waters might have gone- but realised my hair was wet too so quickly ruled it out!

I'm usually a really cold person and never sweat, not even in a sauna or anything so wondered if this is normal?????? I'm not majorly concerned or anything, just wondered if anyone else gets this?

Yeah its normal. I turn the temperature in my house down to 60 degrees at night and still wake up hot, but at least not sweaty when its that cold. My husband is freezing but its the only thing that keeps me from getting crazy hot.

Hot flushes are one of the many things keeping me awake at the moment. Strangely it doesn't happen during the day but I've woken up drenched in sweat several times and find it impossible to get my temperature 'just right' when I'm trying to get off. I'm not worried about it, just yet another unpleasant side affect of pregnancy!

Yep, exactly the same! Woke up at 3am last night and could wring out my pj top almost, I was awake and hour before then and wasn't even hot so it's really bizzare, I'm the worlds coldest person usually too!

You've got your own little central heating system now, it's normal :-) I've always been a freezing person but have been lovely and warm my entire pregnancy! Am down to almost sleeping naked atm so that I don't overheat at night! X

Ahh glad I'm not the only one then! I don't remember being like this with my last pregnancy and I was heavily pregnant during the summer/autumn then... I've been soooo much warmer during this pregnancy, to the point I've had to sit at my desk with a fan blowing directly into my face at work the whole winter whilst everyone else was moaning about the snow outside!

I sleep in the nude too. Normally I have a blanket on our bed in the middle of summer as I get cold so quickly, but this has been a glorious summer for OH so far because we've only slept with a sheet in the nude, with a fan on. The only problem is that I wear cool clothes even in cold overcast weather just to keep myself from overheating! I'm surprised I haven't caught a cold yet
