Oh and btw the 'Heath and Heather' brand is quite nice, from Holland and Barrett. I liked it, and still drink it now actually.

i got mine from holland and barrett and really like the taste, only trouble is i forget to drink it as im not a hot drink drinker apart from 1 small cup of tea in the mornings but you can add milk to that lol. Im hoping it will help as im not planning on having pain relief so the shorter the labour the better

Im drinking it, started at 32 weeks 1 cup a day, went up to 2 cups a day at 34 weeks, plan on going up to 3 cups a day at 36 weeks then 4 a day from 37weeks onwards. Maybe will get some of the tablets and take 2 of those too. I don't really like the taste, don't like normal tea so drinking it is abit of a struggle, I can only manage it once its gone cold and I add a tiny splash of blackcurrant cordial to it. Ive never had it before in my other pregnancies, hope it works!! Im sure its what is giving me bad braxton hicks contractions!

I bought some but then casually asked my obstetrician about it's safety and he pretty much scolded me on contemplating using it- told me that there haven't been studies done on it and often herbal remedies have teratogenic effects on fetuses. I realize our babies are pretty much fully cooked at this point, but having him lump raspberry leaf tea in with thalidomide and alcohol freaked me out enough that my box of tea will probably sit unopened a little longer... Guess I'll be sticking to long walks, sex and pineapple

No offense but your OB sounds uninformed, to say the least.

I'm drinking it as I type this. I think the taste is pleasant, until I get to the dregs of the cup, then it's yucky. Haven't had baby yet, so can't say if it's doing any good, and I'm only having 2 cups a day as it was almost 5 dollars for 16 tea bags...which is STUPID.
I asked one of my midwives about it, and she said that it didn't seem to do much for her at all when she drank it with her first pregnancy, but that it couldn't hurt. She WAS only in labor 8 hours, and she said the contractions were at a pretty steady 2 minutes apart the whole time, and strong. I believe she was having several cups a day.

(I noticed I'm having more frequent BH's, but that could just be because I'm close to term.)
