i have a terrible chest infection at the moment and keep coughing really bad - im now 38 weeks and keep leaking water - not sure if its wee or my waters? I might have to put a pad on today and keep a watch on it.
*lesigh* wish there was a way of working it out. Had to ring the hospital about this a few weeks ago and they said if it didn't soak a pad in 2 hours then it wasn't my waters. Stupid morons, I didn't tell them I thought they had broken I said I thought they were leaking!!!! They treated me like I was stupid.
If coughing then it puts extra pressure on the bladder so you could be actually leaking urine danielle.
Its quite tricky to know if its defo your waters, so if your unsure i'd actually be getting checked out & asking for the pads the hospital use. As although waters are clearer than urine, diluted urine is very pale & hard to tell .x
My waters broke before labour with my first two babies. I would recommend wearing a pad so you you can keep your eye on it. Waters smell sweet and have a clear or slight yellowish colour to them. Also can have pinky red streaks (kinda like vains??) in it. But when they break or leak they normaly will keep breaking so if it was your waters then you will know soon enough. Make sure to call your doc or hospital if you think it was...
