I'm hopefully having my 2nd Homebirth any day now, the first one was great and very quick so I'm expecting an either quicker one this time! I am a bit worried incase it happens a bit too quickly and I'll be home alone with my LO but I'll just have to play it by ear

Eek I'm planning homebirth too!! Up until Thursday baby was suspected breech and midwife kept going on about CSection, but a scan showed she is head down my iron is low which they were worried about but im on tablets to bring it back up so homebirth is good to go ahead!
I'm so excited but also a bit nervous about how its all going to happen.
With my son he was my first baby so i planned a hospital birth, however i did most of my labouring at home as i thought contractions were another false start, i only went to hospital when my waters broke and i began pushing at home. I had to fight against my body pushing while an ambulance rushed us to hospital, it was the most un-natural feeling!! This time i will hopefully be staying at home and it wont be such a rushed experience!
Hope all your homebirths are a great experience

I'm planning my second hb but was transferred last time with mec in waters but I WILL get it this time (pma and all that)
I've got a pool I bought last time and intend to birth in there. I have started setting up my birth space in a spare room, affirmations on wall, candles and fairy lights :-) I'm very excited! My best friend is coming over from nz to be a partner and best of all I can have my girls been involved too! My eldest's job is to see what sex it is and to help cut the cord.
We have a hb team here and I'm under them for antenatal care too which is fab.

Sounds like you are going to have an amazing birth!!! I'm so excited for you. Great idea getting the other kids involved! My daughter is only 2 but she understands a lot and I would love for her to stay and be part of the birth. Hopefully we will both be comfortable with that! Great idea about the affirmations too! Do you have any examples you could share?? I'd love to do something like that - maybe even get my daughter to paint something on them and hang them up We have a "zen corner" set up downstairs where I'm planning on lanoring with a chakras banner, led candles and other small things that make me happy We will set up the pool down there as well. I'm getting so excited. Hope your birth is wonderful!!

These are ones I've done on 10cm circles and put them on string on the same hight as my pool.

Also if you go on google image and put in birth affirmations you'll get some fab ideas from there too :-)
My youngest is 2.5yo, my eldest was almost two last time and was around me while I laboured at home, she didn't bat an eyelid lol.

Also mine, especially the eldest (and when she was younger) loooooves watching hb videos. This is the favourite one which has two little girls on it too http://youtu.be/VOri45kiYQg

I'm hoping for one this time. I bought my birth pool (the Made In Water "La Bassine" pool) while pregnant with my son as I was planning a home birth with him but it couldn't happen. So I just need to inflate it and check it for leaks, and get a couple of other things and we'll be good to go.

Last time I inflated the pool at 38 weeks and kept it in the living room, so I think I'll do the same this time. My last two babies were born at 39 weeks so when I reach that point I'll fill the pool halfway and replace the water every day. I don't want it to be completely empty when I go into labour because my active labours are usually FAST and I don't want to risk not getting it filled up in time!

I hope everyone gets the birth they're hoping for
