Elective Cesarean or VBAC?

Hello everyone - I am hoping I am posting this thread in the right forum!

I have recently found out that I am expecting my second baby in June but have a few things on my mind. My first labour was 18 hours long and after 2+ hours pushing was told the baby was stuck, I was given a spinal and prepd for a c-section. When I was in theatre I was examined and told forceps would not work as baby had her head tilted back rather than tucked into chest...so c-section it was. My daughter was rather bruised from the whole trauma of pushing and had a very black forehead when she arrived but no other complications

I am yet to visit my midwife but I was wondering whether anyone else has had a similar experience and whether they were offered a Vbac or an elective c-section 2nd time round?
