I'm under a midwife, consultant at the hospital and a gestational diabetes nurse and all of them have freaked out because I've gained 6lbs during pregnancy. 6 bloody pounds!! Wish I had your doctor.

Oh I'm surprised a midwife would be freakish out about that! I also have a midwife, and OBGYN, best of both worlds I like to say.
I'm not sure what your bmi was prior, but I think because I was on the low end of my bmi they haven't been too concerned? Not sure. Everything else is fine for me, but if I had blood pressure issues, or sugar in my urine then it might be of concern?
Not sure. But some midwives and doctors are just different with this stuff.

6lb gain shouldn't be a huge concern at all!!!! Omg. What's wrong with them! Have you had a glucose test?

I barely gained anything in this past month, I actually keep yo-yo ing 4lbs it's kind of weird lol
The crazy part is I lost weight in the beginning, then gained like 25-30 lbs between 28-32 weeks I'd say...then somehow jumped to 40lbs at 37 weeks.
I think you might gain a max of like 5 more lbs but you'll be fine hun
Just keep telling myself that my baby is worth it all...just like the awful tiger striped stretch marks all over

Well I just got a call back from my doctor(not a good sign). I had my glucose test this morning. He said my glucose test came back 'borderline'. So he's sending me for a growth scan ASAP. Ugh!!!!!!
I've never had issues like this

I have gestational diabetes so they want me to either lose weight or not gain (yes I have a high bmi).

Borderline must mean you are ok though? I just had a growth scan and my baby is measuring a little ahead.

Jen, was it the one hour glucose test or the three?

When's your scan? Sending good vibes

It was a 2 hr glucose test. So apparently I passed the first 2 blood tests but at the 2 hr mark it was just over by a point. So even though it's not a true positive, it's according to the doctor 'technically positive'. Ugh.
He's not all that concerned, but still wants me to go for a growth scan ASAP.
I will hear back from his office today regarding when my ultrasound is.
Such a pain. And the truth is that ALL my babies are big. So they will find a chubby baby in there for sure. Not sure what the next step will be.
I already eat a Avery healthy diet.
