Same complications second time round?

Hey ladies, sorry this is a bit long!

What are chances of similar complications second time round?

With DS, no major probs in pregnancy but due to my BMI I was advised to have an epidural early as there were higher chance of instrumental delivery.

I took the advice and had an epidural when I got to hospital at 6cm. Labour slowed so they put me on hormone drip. When I started pushing DS's heart rate dropped and didnt recover so it was bed down, swift episiotomy and ventouse delivery.

It was frightening and took a while to recover downstairs, so a bit worried it's going to happen like that again.

Can you share your second + experiences after instrumental delivery/assisted delivery? X

2nd delivery was NOTHING like my first. First was a 30 hour induction from hell. Second was a natural 13 hour labour that I spent mostly at home. So I'd say only time will tell

Hiya hun! My second was nothing like my first either, 1st ended up with an emergency spinal, failed ventouse, ended up with forceps as dd heart rate wasn't recovering, dd2 was induced by them breaking my waters and dd2 was born 47 mins later xxx
