checking cervix position yourself?

im just wondering if anyone has?

i looked up a few sites and all say as long as waters havent gone and super clean hands its ok, now when i tried my cervix felt so damn high up but i just about could feel it with my finger tips and there was a gap in the middle it seemed to be 1-2 fingers wide and it was so wet and soft like ovulation lots of ewcm. ive been having painful bh on off the past week so i wanted to see if it was doing anything. is it possible i could be 2cm dialted? i was told it was closed last week by dr thanks

I check myself near the end with all my pregnancies. Just have clean, clean hands! but it's very possible to have changed in a few days. especially if you're having cramps/pains. Good luck!

I've been checking mine for a few weeks. Obviously with super clean hands lol but mine is atleast 2cm dilated since I started checking. It's definitely gotten shorter and dilated more within the last week or so but I'm too scared to poke around too much. I'm sure if I tried I could fit at least 3-4 finger widths in and I've been losing parts of my mucous plug for a few weeks now. I would say it's very possible you're dilating!

When I was in early labour the first time I actually got hubby to check because I couldn't reach he felt that he could fit two fingers and could feel the waters. There is nothing wrong with checking if you can, it's your body, just be clean and definitely not if waters have gone, just agreeing with that haha. Hope you get going soon ladies! X

Yeah iv been checking, it's quite high but I can easily get two fingers in, it doesn't really feel like my cervix has ever felt before, which is encouraging, it's very doughnut shaped and incredibly soft/slippy..... I could possibly get more finger tips in but it hurts trying to get ny hand that high haha!

It never even occurred to me to try this! Hmmm... Lol! I checked my cervix once when TTC and that was it. I don't get how the measurement would work but I'm definitely intrigued!
