Growth scan accuracy?

Today I had a growth scan, as my DS was a larger baby (10lbs 8oz). I'm much smaller this time, bump is measuring a week behind and my glucose test was fine, never had bp issues etc.
During the scan we were told that baby had jumped from the 50th percentile to the 95th in the 10 weeks since the 20 week scan. I was also measuring 33w5d with an u/s edd of 30th April, as opposed to the 30w2d and edd of 20th May.

This is obviously quite a big leap and I'm due back in 4 weeks for much of the same.

If anyone has had a growth scan and measured so far ahead (almost a month!) were the measurements accurate? Apparently baby weighs 4lbs already! I'm not giving birth to the marshmallow man am I?

I've just had a really similar experience. My little one has been bang on 50th centile for this whole pregnancy but due to some issues with movement, I had a growth scan at 30 weeks. The head and leg measurements continued to plot just under the 50th centile but the stomach was measuring huge and off the chart..! They predicted baby was weighing 4lbs 3oz at 30 weeks :-o!

However, my midwife today is extremely dubious and thinks the scan isn't correct. For one, the ultrasound tech said himself he was struggling to get a decent view of the stomach to measure it accurately. And today, my bump is actually measuring a bit behind, I'm measuring just under 30cm and it should be closer to 32cm. My midwife said that the babies stomach measurement will change throughout the day depending on whether baby has a full stomach or not, so it's a bit subjective on the scan. If baby had happened to take a big gulp of fluid right before the scan, it would measure larger than if she hadn't for example. She said she'd be more concerned if the head and leg had also jumped up massively but they are tracking on the 50th, as is my bump size. So she's knocked by back down to the 50th centile for babies weight overall and we are going to keep an eye on it. I had a glucose test last week and no sign of diabetes either.

Hopefully they are wrong with your little one..are you getting another scan later on to check? Sadly my midwife said in my area, they won't offer me another unless my bump suddenly starts measures 2+ weeks ahead..

Thanks everyone.
They only offered me the scan and tests as DS was average at his 20 week scan and then came out like a 3 month old (or so it felt!). There was never any inclination that he would be big, based on fundal height or tests.

The ultrasound tech measured this little one's head and stomach a good few times and all three measurements of each were roughly the same and both had jumped from 50th percentile to 95thish.

I've got another scan at 34 weeks to see whether baby is still growing at the same rate/slowed down etc and to decide on the next steps.

I had a growth scan at 35 weeks with my first as i was measuring big. They said she'd be around 9lb at 40 weeks. I gave birth on my due date and she was 9lb 3. I haven't had any other growth scans yet to compare with.

My girls were 9 lbs 11 oz and 9 lbs 12 oz...this boy is measuring at 7 lbs 9 oz at 35 weeks and they said that he would probably gain another 2 lbs by my due date. This puts him now in the 90th percentile. I'm assuming this is going to be pretty accurate should I go to my due date.

Yes with my 3rd baby I had a scan on my due date and he was measuring 3+ weeks ahead for some measurements. He measured 9lbs and then was born 8 days later weighing 9lbs 13oz so it was pretty accurate.

Had scans with my other two babies and they were way out, not accurate at all.
