Tired

Anyone know how to get through the day without feeling shattered?! I currently work full time and am pregnant with no. 3 and I'm just finding it really tiring. I don't want to have sick time so am looking for any suggestions of how I can cope. I got home tonight and felt like I'd broken my back and have just sat and watched lion king with the kids so I didn't have to move!

Bless you, I really feel your pain. Pregnancy insomnia hit me hard in the 3rd tri, im absoloutely shattered! I've also experienced horrible rib pain randomly and it's at it's worst when I sit upright in a chair.

So my desk job is a double edged sword, I can just collapse at my desk when exhausted from no sleep but sitting in my desk chair is so painful! I have had a quick chat with manager just to explain I'm struggling a bit at this point and he was really nice about it. I'm working from home one day a week to try and alleviate some of the rib pain and he's been picking up a few jobs I usually do so I don't feel overwhelmed. If you have a good relationship with your manager/employer, Id really recommend just letting them know. If nothing else just so they know you might not be performing at your very best right now!

Thanks, I had my iron count done on Tues and just got results that I'm still anaemic, might explain why in feeling so tired. Unfortunately I can't do anything less on my job then I'm already doing but am talking to my employer on Monday to see what they can do. I'm a teacher and find standing all day on my feet really tiring!

I'm a teacher too and it's exhausting. Waiting to hear back about my iron levels. I am also getting over a 4 week illness that has made it impossible to sleep. Not sure how I'm still functioning to be honest. No real suggestions, just solidarity. This pregnancy has been a huge test of my endurance for sure. Feel like I've run a marathon.

Iron is an annoying little element isn't it! I'm still aneamic after coming up 7 weeks of iron tablets although my levels are going up! The difference I feel between when I first started the tablets and now is huge though. I'm knackered from the lack of sleep but my energy is back. Which sounds weird but before, I was so lethargic and sleepy. Now I'm just sleepy but I have the energy to cope with it..!

Must be very hard as a teacher, I used to be a teacher and it was hard enough without being pregnant! Hence why I now don't teach and instead work with books hope you can both get a little support, even if it's perhaps just not doing playground duty or something!

I'm so lucky I have a second teacher in my room half of reading/writing and half of math. She is the reason I can run to the bathroom during the day, don't know what I'd do otherwise. She is also taking over some of my lessons so I can sit down for a minute. Still super hectic but it's such a Godsend.

I hear you, around 2pm every day at work I run out of steam. I went to bed at 9pm last night, woke up at 9am this morning. Then went and took a nap from 12:30p to 3! I just want to be a lump.
