I have a scan booked for 31 weeks. I picked this time partly cuz the website for the clinic said "fuller figure mothers should come in between 30 and 34 weeks" and just cuz that was there earliest Saturday time slot. I was told I have a right anterior placenta and I don't know how "full figure" I actually am. You guys are making me think I should've made an earlier appt. :/

We went for our first one on Friday at 25 weeks and baby was so so so uncooperative! He had his arms up his face the whole time and most of the time his back to us also. They tried for 45 mins to get him to move but he wouldn't turn in view. Luckily the place we go to are fab and we get to go back on Wednesday for a free re scan. Hopefully he will be less 'camera shy' next time.
I've booked a package of two scans and they did tell me I should book my next one by 30 weeks though because of my anterior placenta. So anyone thinking of it, it seems 30 or so is the limit with a front cushion.

Pretty I would call and ask them because I agree with Kirsty. I was told do not come in beyond 29 weeks with AP because the placenta will be too big/in the way and the baby gets hidden/squished/really difficult to get nice photos. So I would call and see what they want you to do

I would also like to mention that I had an anterior placenta when I had that 4D done. They told us no later than 34 weeks.

Just wanted to update. I'm 27w5d and had my 4D scan today. I have an anterior placenta and it DEFINITELY got in the way. My tech was skilled enough to maneuver me and have me suck in/pull out as needed but it was annoying af having the cord, placenta, and generally uncooperative baby. She did get some nice pics.

Ah. I've heard having some sugar or caffeine helps make the baby move, so I'm thinking of having a cold can of coke just before. I haven't had pop in several years and I rarely consume anything with caffeine, so I figure that'll get him moving. lol
