When should I go in?

Ladies, what do I do? I'm alone and scared. I'm getting Braxton hicks a lot but there's no real rythym. They have a small bit of pain in them. Nothing super painful, just period type pains. But they're quite frequent. When should I go in to get seen? I'm scared to do it alone...

Do you have anyone to watch the kids so you can go get seen? As you tend to go early every time you do need checking out. It is probably nothing but if she comes now she will be just fine but you do need to be in hospital so they can cope with her. How come you are alone?

At very least call your Dr to get advice!!

Try not to be too worried - I've been getting frequent, quite painful Braxton's over the last few days. Thursday was particularly bad, they were every 10 minutes, all day! I did nearly call my assessment unit as they were fairly regular but decided to sleep on it and see what happened! They have calmed down a bit now and all is OK! Still pregnant, no other signs of labour. The pain I get with them is initially the weird tightening sensation and then always followed with a period like cramping. So much for them being relatively painless!

If you are really worried, I'd go get checked asap though. I've been to my assessment unit on my own a couple times as my OH couldn't get out of work. They'll look after you! But fingers crossed it's just regular BH!

If you're worried it wouldn't hurt to call them just to get some peace of mind for yourself over the phone.
Have you drunk plenty? I used to get them if I hadn't had a lot to drink x

I'd phone and see what they say? I had alot of braxton hicks with my previous pregnancy and was having them every 5mins around 35 weeks, i phoned maternity and was told to go in to be checked. I was put on the monitor and ended up having steroid injections and kept in overnight as they were convinced my daughter was on her way but they had stopped by morning and i was sent home. Little monkey arrived at 40+1.x

I've been in the hospital now for almost 4 hours. They've decided I'm in labour and are keeping me here until baby comes. But they are hoping to stop the contractions. Either way, I'm here for the long haul.

Also, I'm alone because I'm about 700km from home. My husband had to drive me here over the weekend but had to go back home to sort things out and get our kids. So I'm here alone for now.
