Gaining 21 pounds at nearly 33 weeks is actually at the low end of normal. And if you were at 17 pounds a few weeks ago, that's a shade below the recommended weight gain, so if anything it seems they should be happy you squeaked back into the normal range!

I can't believe someone would guilt you over that, and in such a condescending, rude way, as if she doesn't believe you when you talk about your own diet. That's a really tactless way to approach it. I guess sometimes rapid weight gain can be a sign of pre-e, but if she took your blood pressure and tested for proteins, etc., she should have known that wasn't the case. Plus four pounds in two weeks isn't even that much. So there's no medical reason to get on your case for what sounds like normal and mild weight gain at the end of your pregnancy.
