Helpless and uncontrollable stress. Contractions despite medication

I'm in my 31 weeks now. Admitted to hospital during my 28 weeks due to mild contractions and spotting. Given nifedipine and discharged.

Was admitted again on Mon due to slight bleeding and contractions. Given hormone drugs and more nifedipine etc, discharged yesterday. But sadly I felt very stress and no matter what I do, the stress doesn't go away. Contractions came and were frequent despite medications. Hubby had to take me to hospital early this morning and I'll be admitted again. Cervix is closed.

I feel very helpless. I don't know how to relieve my stress. It was uncontrollable and I felt breathless. I feel sad that my contractions keep going on even though I ate medicine. I also wonder how long I can hold my baby inside.

Anyone with similar situation? Really need encouragement.

It's great that your contractions aren't dilating you! You may just have an irritable uterus but as long as you aren't dilating from them then you might be able to go several more weeks.

Yes for sure make sure you push the issue if they ignore you. Theres no reason to have anxiety on top of dealing with everything else.

It seems like the issue is more you anxiety and maybe they should focus more on helping that :-)
There's nothing really that can be done about the contractions; if they're not dilating your cervix then thankfully you are not in labour and it's just s case of managing them if they continue - which will probably be much easier if your anxiety is addressed and helped :-)

I had daily, strong tightenings from 27 weeks last time and didn't go into labour until 37 weeks. This time I've had them since 24 weeks and am now 35 weeks.
