34 weeks regular contractions then stops!

I'm 34 weeks tomorrow and have been losing my mucus plug the past 2 weeks as well as experiencing strong BH. The past couple of days Iv had them with pretty strong back ache then today they were really regular getting to every 10 minutes, painful and more plug each time I went the toilet.

I'm having contractions every 10 minutes for a couple of hours then stop for an hour and start again!

Is this gona happen til the end?

I'm in the midwife tomorrow so was holding out to speak to her but managed to pack my bag just incase as I feel like they are making me dilate and I just don't feel right!

This is my 5th pregnancy and I noticed it's the same as my last started with it all around my back then going round to the front then the belly tightens!

Yes, it's called prodromal labor and is very common once you've had a few babies. It's safe to google.

I had this for about 3 days but I was very overdue! Don't know how long it would've gone on for if it started earlier. Do you know what position baby is in? DD turned out to have her arm in a weird place and gave me a back labour even though she was facing the right way. Somewhere I heard that if there is pressure in certain areas e.g. Baby is posterior, it can trigger your body to try and move them to a better position by contracting

Yes I've had this for about 4 weeks! Usually one random night a week I will wake up with regular contractions 3-5 minutes apart for HOURS. They never get stronger and then they stop. So disappointing! I have dilated a little each week and believe it's from them. I was a 3 last week.

I had this every day from 27 weeks last time. Regular pains for hours on end, that were so strong you could see them.
With a history of pre-term labour (first pregnancy delivered at 27 weeks), everyone was pretty worried - but this just went on every day until I actually went into labour at 37 weeks.

This pregnancy I had the same, but from 24 weeks!
Every single day, strong, regular, visible contractions that showed up like the real-deal on the monitors.

I was actually induced at 35 weeks and had my baby 4 days ago, but I was still having them right up until then - and they were so bad, that I may not have actually been induced so early had I not been having them.

My point is, that they don't always mean anything. If they're going on for some time (ie: days/weeks) without progressing, then they're most probably not going to (especially if you have laboured before).

Finally had my baby this morning. They were fairly similar since they started - I'd have to breathe through them, they'd be quite regular but would generally stop when I moved. However, do think they were all doing something to soften my cervix as my baby arrived very quickly today. Contractions started again at 4.30am, was 4-5cm at 9.45am and he arrived at 11am.

Good luck - hope yours doesn't keep you waiting as long!!
