Measuring ahead but not increasing cm as standard?

Hey, could anyone try and shed some thought's on this for me...

At my 24+1w appointment, I measured 28cm
Then at my 28+2w appointment, I measured 30cm

It wasn't my normal midwife for the 28w and she didn't comment much on the measurement, I'm sure the previous time I was told they'd expect 1cm growth per week?

I go back in 13 days hopefully with my normal midwife so I'll bring it up then depending on the measurement but it been a recurring thought of mine that it's not 'right' even though i'm still ahead?

My midwife said anything up to 3cm either side was fine. I was measuring bigger at 26 weeks but then slowed down. Lady time 31 weeks I measured 33cm. She said that was fine.

Fundal height measurement is supposed to be taken earliest at 26 weeks and as standard they start measuring around 28 weeks. Often midwives will feel earlier than this but the actual measurement isn't accurate until a bit later so I think the reason your second midwife was not concerned is that she is probably taking your 28 week measurement as the first official recording and will compare it to the measurement next time she sees you
It sounds like you're measuring perfectly this time, I would try to put it out of your mind until the next appointment x

A couple of cm either way isn't normally a worry, they plot it on your chart from 28weeks so will keep an eye on it and if needed will send you for a growth scan x
