You can develop a yeast infection (i.e. Thrush) at ANY time (so even if you were swabbed for it a few weeks ago, doesn't mean that you are all clear now... ). They swab for yeast infections (not done as a blood test - as far as I know...) - have you had that done recently.

Yeast infections are generally fairly harmless and actually very common in all women, but especially pregnant women. Most doctors don't bother treating it if it is mild and doesn't have any bad symptoms (like irritation/itching or discharge).

I don't know whether what you eat effects how you smell (down there) though (with or without Thrush). What you eat DOES strongly effect how your wee smells though (things like smoked salmon, asparagus and other vegetables can have strong smells). You may be just noticing it more due to "hyper sensitive" pregnancy sense of smell? Are you smelling it soon after you go for a wee (or when you wee?) or do you still smell it after a shower/bath?

QT

I find that what I eat does affect how I smell, but if it's been over a week since your last swab it can't hurt to have one done. I had a swab done on Tuesday that came back negative but I do notice throughout pregnancy that I've had a slightly stronger odour than normal. As long as you're getting swabbed, it's probably okay.

Is this a change from earlier in your pregnancy?

on a serious note... i think that is very strange but aslong as you've had swabs i'd say it's nothing to worry about

Some foods can make your 'flower' smell the same as the foods! Ive eaten curries in the past and a few days later it come through my pores and my 'flower' lol!!!
Fish smell can also be a sign of bacterial vaginosis - Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is a common cause of vaginal discharge. The discharge is not usually itchy or sore. It is not a sexually transmitted infection. Symptoms are often mild, and it may clear without treatment. A course of antibiotics usually clears BV.

The main symptom of BV is a vaginal discharge. BV is one of the most common causes of vaginal discharge in women of childbearing age. The discharge is often a white-grey colour, and often has a fishy smell. The smell may be most noticeable when having sex. The discharge tends to be heaviest just after a period, and after having sex.
The discharge does not usually cause itch or soreness around the vagina and vulva.
Many women with BV do not have any symptoms (up to half of cases). BV may be found by chance when vaginal swabs are taken for other reasons.

Your sense of smell is much more sensitive when you are pregnant and as already posted above, certain foods can change your smell down there especially onions and garlic. It's the same with breast milk, eat too many onions and bubs might not like the taste!
