Another tmi pic no spoilers: bloody show?

SO and I DTD. It was painful per usual and I had some pink spotting after as I was cleaning up man goo then we showered. Then it stopped immediately. I went potty several times, nothing. Then I go potty, start having a cramp on the way, and BAM this. That cramp went away, I rang l&d, they said not to worry I probably popped a blood vessel and it's semen making it look mucusy. And basically call back if I keep having it or baby stops moving. Idk. I'm a ftm so I feel like the leaking yesterday and blood today is making me nervous and I'm getting upset that they are being dismissive about it. And I get it: I had a cervical exam with lube that is like amniotic fluid and I had sex today so it probably is just coincidence, but this blood looks NOTHING like what I had after sex or anything I have seen before.

Looks like it could be. I can't say for sure though as I have never had a bloody show (currently expecting baby 3). I lost at least part of my mucus plug Friday after my cervical check and it had old blood in it. (First time knowing for sure that I lost it).

Ty for looking. I'm heading in to have him monitored as I haven't felt him move since I lost it.

I'd say you're really close, Dobby. It looks like bloody show to me. I lost mine at home with my first and in the hospital with my second. It looked just like that. You're in the range for birth too. I consider 37 weeks onwards to be "on baby watch" so fx that this is it for you! I know how badly you want to meet your son. Good luck and keep us posted!

Is it normal to pass tissue? I just gave them a urine sample and passed 5 tiny pieces of tissue o.O

First off, I hope everything is ok and he starts moving like normal real soon.

Secondly, that does look like the start of a bloody show yes. Mine was like that but mine had a green tinge to the mucous but I know that differs. Your doing the right thing getting yourself checked over. I hope all is ok x

Well everything is fine, he was just sleeping the little turd. His fluid level is good, a couple things of apple juice and he perked up. Still passing red blood and white tissue, but the doctor said he didn't see any active bleeding o.O or cause for concern. Saw my favorite gyn who transferred there and was so bummed he wasn't coming tonight/morning as she could have delivered him. He said my bag was bulging and wouldn't be surprised if it breaks in the next few days but then backtracked when SO asked and said that you can never really know but he'd see me soon lol. I'm still passing blood and white tissue but I don't feel like arguing with them since he is fine

Only annoying thing is, and I know it's subjective, he said I'm 2cm, 50%, and -3 station?! I asked and the nurse said I'm likely the same as yesterday and it's just different people have different fingers, but wtf to have one doc say he is super low almost at station 0 then have one say he's super high?!

SO is not amused by what he thinks was me overreacting

The blood def looks like fresh blood vessel bursting due to sex. To me it doesn't look like a mucus plug or bloody show but then again u never know. Very common for this to happen with sex towards the end. I would say walk as much as u can and maybe that will get things going? -3station is very high! When in labor though he has plenty of time to move. If they say they expect to see u soon then that's exciting because they are usually right! A nurse told me that with my second on a Friday, said she would be surprised if I made it through the weekend and Sunday my water broke! I bet a sweep would do wonders if your membranes are buldging

Yeah, I'm just confused. I had two gyns tell me 2.5, 75%, -1 station and so to hear -3 was like wtf. Literally just had my cervix checked yesterday. So I'm not sure whose numbers to trust.

Kaiser doesn't do sweeps/I don't see my gyn until my EDD. If I haven't delivered by then and am still at 2.5 they'll book an induction a week later. I do have a labor ready massage scheduled for Tuesday. The place will do it any time after 38 weeks, so I might move it to Friday. I just really didn't want to start any home labor stuff until 39w, but since l&d said he's good to go at this point I would love the extra time with him

Hey, I'm not sure at all. You can go ahead and google images of human bloody show (otherwise, you'll get dogs and goats LOL and things you probably don't need to see!!!!!!!!!!). Unfortunately, since there is semen in there, it could be a blood vessel. I've never had to doubt whether or not it was bloody show for me. In MY personal experience, it's been tons and tons of blood-streaked mucus every single time I wipe (and I wear a pad), accompanied by contractions or my water breaking. I've never just had bloody show without it being accompanied by anything. And the PRESSURE of baby is another big one. When the mucus plug really goes, it feels like I have to poop constantly because all the cervix that was holding the pressure in is going really thin. Some people feel this "I have to poop because my baby is so low" pressure without bloody show. I personally have not.
