4cm dilated with a soft thick cervix??

Hello!

I am a FTM so pretty clueless, I get random patches of painful contractions and have done for about 2 weeks now, but my cervix despite being fairly long (but super soft) is 4cm dilated! Should I try some natural induction methods to kick start proper labour or do you think it won't help? I'm 37+2!

I went into labor at 37w3d with my second so you are in the range of possibility! I would say that if you wanted to try natural induction methods, at this point it wouldn't hurt because you're technically considered full term now. I drink raspberry leaf tea 2-3x per day when I want to try to induce labor. Good luck! It sounds like you're very close and honestly I don't see you holding out much longer at 4 cm dilated

Thank you for your reply! I already drink the tea and take evening primrose oil but I only have 1 each a day so maybe I should up it! I feel like she wants to come out because of all the contractions!
