I'm not sure if there's any relevance or not.

Though I was taking to another mom while waiting for my appt today. She said she had all bigger babies (she's having her 4th).

I mentioned how my first 2 were on the smaller side (dd only 6 lb 4 oz at 41+ 6 and ds 6 lb 14 oz at 39+5). I ate more poorly (and more in general) with them, though slightly better with ds. Though I gained the same amount of weight with both.

With this one I ate much healthier (in types and amount)and so far have gained less, but so far this one is estimated at 7 lb 7 oz so far. My c section is scheduled for 39 weeks, and I'm guessing she'll be the biggest of the 3 (though i know ultrasound estimates can be off in either direction - they were slightly higher than what they came out weighing).

She said she ate healthy with all hers and she noticed a lot of people she knew had smaller babies if they ate more poorly and bigger babies when eating healthier, leading us to wonder if it's more about nutrient density that gives us body babies.

No idea the evidence on that, but i thought it was interesting.

DS- hungry but sick a lot so didn't get to eat as much as I'd have liked. My biggest baby, 9lbs 15oz.
DD1- hungry and not very sick so ate a lot (whoops), smallest baby, 8lbs.
DD2- smallest appetite of the 3, middle weight baby, 8lbs 9oz.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I ate SO much and she was just under 7lbs at full term. I was really sick up to 16 weeks though.

All through third trimester I had the same food every day. A bagel and cream cheese for breakfast, small piece of chocolate and then a banana at break, pasta with vegetables then an apple at lunch, a raspberry jam sandwich after work, then homemade pizza at dinner (I made it from a wholemeal wrap and used passata as the sauce then added veggies)

I only put on 25lbs and lost it all by about 6 weeks pp even though I couldn't exercise much because I had a section. I was average build to begin with (uk 10-12)

I had many food aversions through my whole pregnancy and all day MS until I was 18 weeks. Some days I hardly wanted anything substantial to eat. My son was 10 lbs 13 oz.

Sooo... no correlation here.

It does surprise me!
I'm eating much less than I did with dS2 and better choices yet the weight is still piling on as quick. Very frustrating!

There wasn't any correlation for me. I ate loads with my first pregnancy and she was 7 lbs. With my second pregnancy I ate much less and he was 9 lbs 11.5 Oz!
