3rd tri exhaustion???

Hi everyone!

Just looking for some moral support really. The last 2 weeks I have felt completely knackered.. but the past few days absolutely exhausted I mean to the point I fell asleep today with my 5 year old running round playing. I feel awful, sick, achy, just horrific. I haven't seen a midwife since 16 weeks as it's my 2nd, I'm seeing her tomorrow so I'm thinking maybe it could be iron? I've been anemic in the past and I struggle with it on and off. I've also got a mouth full of ulcers, which again I do normally suffer with but they are so bad I can barely eat!

I'm not sure if this was just a moany post but is anyone else feeling my pain?

Drink more water. I learned the hard way that extreme exhaustion can also be a sign of dehydration in pregnancy. And once I was hydrated, like really hydrated it made a HUGE difference!! And I felt a million times better. As preggo ladies we are supposed to drink 94oz of water a day...it helped me a lot just to up my water intake.

Can totally relate to you! I've almost nodded offa few times with my 2 boys playing. Are you getting a good nights sleep? I find I'm waking a lot either to pee or because of leg cramps. Have you had any bloods done recently? I did 2 weeks ago and I'm anaemic which explains a lot, plus having a little one to look after is draining I. Itself x

Definitely can relate! I haven't slept more than an hour or two at a time for the last month!!!

But it definitely can be your iron and you should definitely get that checked out. If you are anemic you'll want to take supplements to build up your iron asap before delivery!!! Glad you're seeing the mw tomorrow! Keep us posted and know that you aren't alone in this third tri exhaustion!!

Why has your midwife not seen you since 16 weeks??? It shouldn't matter how many babies you'be had they should still be seeing you a bit more regularly than that?? This is my second and I have seen my midwife at 16, 20, 24, 28, 31 and will be seeing her every 2 weeks now until go time. I had my bloods done at 28 weeks and had low iron so have been taking iron tablets since then but they haven't really made a difference to be honest but i think it's because I've been signed off work because of my back pain I'm at home all day bored out of my mind, exhausted doing nothing!

I am soooo tired too. I'm 29 weeks and have felt suddenly exhausted for the past week or so. My son has slept much better the last few nights than he has in months, but somehow despite getting more sleep than usual I am just exhausted!! Doesn't help getting up to pee a million times a night and suddenly being wide awake.

Midwife has just told me to take spatone liquid, and maybe think about finishing work earlier. I'm having a growth scan at 36 weeks because I had a big baby last time so she is keeping me monitored more now. It was a huge gap from 16 weeks to 28 without seeing anyone. I had bloods too but I'm pretty sure they'll say my irons low.

Thanks for all of the moral support! It's nice to know I'm not the only exhausted mumma 🙄

Yah I'm super tired all the time, grumpy, emotionally fragile. Toss and turn in the night and a wreck during the day. Can't wait to get my 4 yr old off to school next week so I can just get some naps in. At the same time feeling major guilt I'm so moody and have no energy for our last bit of time together. My iron was a bit low but has come back up with supplements. Will Def try chugging more water I know that's lacking as it gives my heartburn
