39 weeks here, so just for fun-what are you doing to try to get that baby out?

Today I had super uncomfortable pregnant sex, drank raspberry leaf tea, added some spicy red pepper to my spinach dish and did a whole lot of dancing around my apartment!!

What about you ladies?!?

I drink red raspberry leaf tea in the mornings and ive been taking epo orally and vaginally at night before bed. I've also been eating dates and last night I drank a whole thing of pineapple juice. I've been walking around work as much as possible. I was checked yesterday and my dr did a little stretch/sweep and i was super crampy on the way home, but nothing else. No spotting or plug loss. Braxton hicks but not bad and i still feel good otherwise so im starting to think my body isnt doing anything to prepare for labor, but im doing everything i can. Next week ill probably whip out the breast pump and see if that starts things up

Ahhh good idea with the pumping!!!
I'm already nursing a 2 year old and it is not making me go into early labor like some doctors thought lol.

i think pumping triggered my first labor at 40+4 but I tried it a couple times with my 2nd and it didnt work, maybe once your body gets used to it it's not as effective. Labor with my 2nd started out of the blue at 40+2, but i had been having major BH and was dilated 2cm for a week. I'm hoping my 3rd comes right around my due date, no really promising signs yet tho

- Lots of down dog, child's pose, literally crawling around my living room and sleeping with two giant pillows between my knees- midwife thinks the baby is turned a little and has her head tilted, supposedly that all helps!

- walking around, but taking a rest when my belly locks into a contraction that won't let up, or when I get them rapidfire out of nowhere.

- lots of baths, meditation, visualization and relaxation!

that's about it... asking for a stretch/sweep tomorrow at my 8:30am midwife appt., we'll see if she thinks it's a good idea or not!

That totally makes sense about it not being as effective. My doctor was concerned that it could make me have false contractions early but nope!

Hope your third comes around that 40 week mark for you!!! My husband thinks I'll be a couple days late this time around. I've been having mor BH today so who knows???

Nice going with the yoga moves!! I was trying that today, too. I felt really relaxed last week and wasn't concerned if she came late but now I'm like yeaahhh....I want to meet you, baby!

Hope the stretch/sweep helps if you get it!!!

I tried everything to get my first four babies out. Gosh. It was awful, but I was so uncomfortable. My fifth pregnancy was actually my easiest, so I didn't bother trying anything, and she still came at the same time as all my others. lol. I am so ticked that I feel like I tried all those things for nothing!
