Full term/overdue ladies - am I the only one trying to keep baby in??

I'm currently 40 +1 and really want this baby to stay in until at least Friday. I'm hoping for a September baby so they're the oldest rather than the youngest in the school year. Baby will obviously do what he or she wants regardless of what I think!

My other two were 8 and 7 days late respectively so I was fully expecting to go late again but now I'm feeling a constant, uncomfortable pain in my pelvis at the very top of my legs where it meets my groin. I wonder if my pelvis is shifting?? My contractions were in this area with my first. I also labour very quickly, or I have previously at least.

Is there anything I can actually do to slow down labour at this point? Am I mad? Am I the only overdue lady trying to keep baby in??

I was the same with my 3rd, I wasn't due until the 18th September but was paranoid about LO coming early and ending up an August baby! Maybe you could rest and take it as easy as possible for the next couple of days, and stay hydrated. And then at midnight on Thursday just start pushing

Haha that's funny you say that. I'm not even due but my partner has told me to hold on to Saturday if I was to go into early labour because of this reason. Suddenly I'm contious of every twinge *♀️

I am! I'm 37+3 today so not overdue yet but I definitely want to make it to September (for the same reasons as you!) but also want to make it to my scheduled c-section date because we won't have any childcare if I go in to labour spontaneously. My first baby was 14 days overdue so I think my chances are good 😂.

Exact thing happened to me. My son should of been the oldest in his year group based on his due date but decided to come 2 weeks early making him the youngest. 5 years later it still breaks my heart.

It's September tomorrow therefore I think you've made it!!!!

I know what you mean the cut off here is oct 15th and my 2nd was due on the 20th so i was really hoping she didn't come early for that reason and luckily she didnt. My 3rd is due sept 4th so hes going to be one of the youngest in his class but I already plan on keeping him back in kindergarten if I dont feel like he's ready to go to 1st grade, my sister stayed back in kindergarten to help work on her social skills a little more and it didn't affect her negatively at all, so that's my plan! People think im crazy for worrying about stuff like that. Glad I'm not the only one!

Not long to go now! I had a trickle of something down my leg today and I started panicking he/she would come in August, but nothing since so think I'm safe!
