1st born on due date, now due date has come and gone with #2

Help.
Many first baby came on her own naturally at 39 5, she was born right at 40 weeks.

Now, here I am with #2....my due date was today....

Of course I'm concerned! I had an ultrasound at 39 5 and baby looks good, my fluid was good...
....but yet, here I am. Growing bigger and more impatient and worried! I'm trying to stay calm but since #1 came on her own right on time, I can't help but wonder what's going on this time around.

Has this happened to anyone else?

And yes....I drink the raspberry leaf tea, eat the pineapple, bounce on the ball, walk around, and today my husband and I vacuumed and shampooed our apartment! Tomorrow we will try sex and spicy food...

If your Doctor checked you out and didn't seemed concerned, I wouldn't stress. I had my first born at 41 weeks. I'm currently expecting #2 and have been researching ways to naturally induce labor for when the time comes (37 weeks or so) that I can start trying to induce because I too don't want to go over, it was horrible and exasperating. I found a lot on nipple stimulation, if you haven't tried it, maybe research a little on that and give it a try

Thanks! Maybe I will try pumping. My daughter still nurses and that hasn't done anything lol.

My first came at 39+4 and my second kept me waiting till 41+0! Can't describe how frustrated and impatient I got. Fingers crossed baby won't be long.

I'm overdue with my third now. I've been 8, 7 and now currently 5 days late with this one. If your doctor isn't concerned then going over really isn't a problem. All babies and pregnancies are different and a few days difference over a period of 40 weeks isn't that much. Don't get me wrong, it can be very frustrating all the same! But this time around I'm not letting it bother me. I'm enjoying relative peace and sleep a bit longer. Good luck! Hope you have a positive birth experience before too much longer.

Thanks for the positive vibes, ladies!! I guess it's true what they say...these babies come on their OWN time! Husband and I had sex today and I just woke up from a great nap after....so even if it didn't help baby, at least I got a little rest.

My first was born 11 days early so I was expecting my second baby to be born around that or even earlier, but he ended up being 11 days late!

Hopefully baby won't keep you waiting for too much longer

Thanks ! I am now 4 days late. I thought my water broke yesterday...went to the hospital....turns out it was probably just urine!!! I asked if there was a way I could test it at home so I don't have to go back in again to check and they said no ahhhh haha.

Each of my subsequent babies came later than my first. It's uncommon but not unheard of... I hope your baby comes very soon!!
