Almost 35 weeks, measuring 39! (Update)

I went to see my doctor today. I'm almost 35 weeks pregnant but I'm already measuring 39 weeks! 😲 I have an appointment for an ultrasound tomorrow afternoon. She said either the baby is very big (if bigger than 5kg he needs to come out asap by c-section) or there's too much amniotic fluid in there and I have to go see a high risk doctor. 😞 I'm freaking out even though she said not to worry. My baby's EDD is October 25th.

Baby's hospital bag is mostly ready but not mine. I'm still missing things. It's my son's birthday on friday and his party is on saturday. Baby, please be healthy and stay in there at least another week! 😢

I've been having really bad period pains and lower back pain since yesterday.

Help! 😭

Update: Result of the ultrasound:

- I have too much fluid.
- Baby's head is huge, the rest of him is average.
- Baby's presenting himself by the butt.
- Baby's got the cord wrapped around his neck.

So basically I was told that he had until next week to turn on his own. If he doesn't, they will have to turn him if it doesn't mess up with the cord worse. I might need a c-section if the oxygen doesn't circulate well enough in the cord.

Because I have too much fluid, I might go into premature labor.

Baby was not cooperating, he kept hiding his face and he was in a really weird position with his neck bent backward.

I'm hoping my doctor calls me soon. They said not to worry, but of course I'm worried. I just want to hide in my bed forever. 😭😭😭

I wouldn't worry too much. Assuming it's fundal height? It's an unreliable way of measuring and very subjective. Mine is only measuring 34 and I am 39 weeks, we've had loads of growth scans and baby is measuring just fine! Hope your scan goes well!

I'm not sure what to say as I haven't been through that but don't feel bad if the need for an early arrival of your daughter is needed. I'm sure people will understand. If you do find out that she will be coming sooner than expected, perhaps you could reschedule your son's birthday? Just a suggestion. Big hugs and I hope that everything continues on as normal.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow. Just to second that fundal height isn't a great way to measure, but it does show if there's a reason to investigate. So since there's a discrepancy, they're doing an ultrasound to determine what is most accurate. Good luck! Let us know how it goes

Glad they're investigating to make sure all is well but as some of the other ladies have said, fundal height isn't very accurate so hopefully your scan tomorrow shows that all is just fine

I've been having regular growth scans and the baby is all fine .. maybe a tiny bit bigger than average .. my belly measures 2 weeks ahead .. like someone said I think the fundal height isn't very accurate ..

Good luck hope it all goes well and baby can stay in!

I have polyhydramnios (too much amniotic fluid) and I had it with my first son too. It seems scary but it really isn't. And if Baby is big then they will do what has to be done. Try not to worry. They will make sure you're both fine. Fundal height isn't reliable but I'm glad they're giving you an ultrasound.

Praying wholeheartedly that baby turns head down within the time allotted, praying that her cord won't be an issue, and that once you deliver her, she is 100% healthy!! Hugs!
