Wow Brixton hicks!

I started having light cramping yesterday about 3.30 and it then developed into a tightening and a pain lower down and also felt like I needed a BM every time. I had them all last night till about 6 regularly. Every 5 mins for 35-60secs. It was really scary thought that was it. I managed to get a bit of sleep surprisingly and have woke up this morning a bit confused what that was all about having the odd twinge. I have never had them before and I can not believe how painful they were.
I'm due to have my section next Wednesday so was a bit confused what to do?

By one else have painful Braxton hicks, it can't be labour as it would have carried on? All fun and games!

Haha blooming auto correct, Brixton hicks!

Probably, I had them till 6am. so achey today and my bump feels bruised and sore. Today I have just slumped out on the sofa and was a mission just having a shower this morning.

I didn't get this with dd it's awful just stopped me in my tracks. I was meant to have section Friday but I changed it to next Wednesday thinking I would make it till then. Doh!

I've been having the same!! And I also didn't have them the first time. They are very painful, and can come every 5-6 minutes for a minute then taper off just around the hour mark. My OB told me today if they continue like that for 1.5 hours - 2 hours to come in (every 5 mins for 1 minute). I agree it's just the body gearing up, but it's definitely painful and I've wondered if anything was going to happen.... but then I have a good day the next day. Who knows. lol

Definitely keep an eye on them and if they stay regular ie 1/5 and make you stop talking call your maternity unit . Sometimes labor takes a few go's to kick start
