Anyone else with an oblique lie baby?

I think I've read every article and post there is to read on the subject, but just looking for some company! Baby has been transverse/oblique breech since day one pretty much!! And last midwife appointment was still there (I'm 36 weeks).

I have a growth scan next week (measuring above 95th centile, also borderline gestational diabetes controlled with diet!) and the midwife has warned me they may want to admit me till I have baby (section if baby doesn't move as undeliverable in this position! But highly likely to be section anyway as previous baby was failed induction at 40+19 so can't see me going into labour spontaneously within safe timescales!).

Really don't want to be admitted as I live an hr and half from hospital, and have a little girl who I am home with full time. Sigh...! Hoping baby has moved by next scan weds but not feeling overly optimistic.

Guess it'd be nice to know I'm not alone lol!

Hope things have shifted around for you! Lots of ball bouncing and down on all 4's... why will they have to admit you? Can you not just go in for a scheduled C?

I'd just get an elcs booked now. Then if baby moves and you do go into labour
Before csec date then happy days ! I've had 2 csec and I'd happily have another tbh . I had more pain after my natural birth !!

Baby moved! Although I can't for the life of my work out how it's in there as it still feels all diagonal!! But head is down as confirmed by scan. Massive relief!!!!

Bonnie they admit you as a sideways or diagonal baby can not 'plug' your cervix if your waters break, so you're at very high risk of cord prolapse or a limb prolapse. I also live 1.5hrs from hospital and they would need to do an emergency section within minutes if you did have a prolapse. A breech baby is fine as their bum will stop anything escaping!!

I'm still booked in for section given my previous birth... We shall see!
