I was induced, I like how it's controlled- no rush no frights etc. At the hospital I walked calmly to the maternity ward not in pain with contractions or didn't give birth in the A&E like my friend. Try to get a good night sleep the evening before as this is so important! I hardly slept but was able to get 1hr of sleep during labour after I had the epidural. I was so nervous too!

They gave me the medicine at 5am- contractions started to come in slowly but they were not too painful. I was on the ball a lot and at 11am they broke the waters- that's when the fun began. The contractions were suddenly painful! That's something I wish I had known before to be prepared. I got the epidural couple of hours after and there was no pain anymore. Baby was born before 9pm.

The doc decided to break my waters to speed things along as I was processing slowly. When the contractions came I was cursing her name, but in the end I was greatful as it processed so quickly afterwards! When they do that you know it won't be very long till the baby is in your arms and that is truly the most amazing feeling in the world.

Wishing you the best of luck- you'll be fine and it's totally worthed!

I def agree with this one! I hadn't eaten anything the whole day and was starving! Def eat before you go to the hospital! Making me hungry now thinking of it. But the nurses did give me these tiny ice cubes with sugar to suck on and that felt amazing!
