Anyone with a cervical stitch in?

Hi, I've had a stitch in since 23 weeks and am on progesterone.
Just wondered if anyone was in the same boat or has experience of this from previous pregnancy?

Assuming she doesn't come early, I have to stop the progesterone at 34 weeks and have the stitch removed at 36 weeks. These are the NHS guidelines apparently.

Anyone had a stitch removed? How quickly did you go in to labour?

I ve not had one before but did have cervix issues with my previous pregnancy that caused me to go into PTL at 33 weeks. From what Iíve heard the stitch usually works out pretty well. There is a thread in the gestational complications section for incompetent cervix and many of the ladyís there have experienced what your going through and they are fantastic and supportive you should check it out! They were a great group and even if IC isnít your exact issue thereís still a lot of support and others going through things that arenít IC in there!

My cousin had one that was removed at 36 weeks and she had him at 37 weeks. Hers was for a shortened and funneling cervix.

Thanks so much both.
Koifish, my son was also born at 33 weeks, they didn't know why, queried infection at the time, but prompted them to check cervix length this time and my cervix was shortening and funnelling so had an emergency cerclage.
Hoping to avoid any special care baby unit this time- way too stressful and emotional time.
Will head over to gestation complications board.
