Nordicpixie- how did you kow you had irritable uterus? I have pretty constant BH so I'm sure that contributes to having faster labours?
Lots of little niggly tightenings that last anything between five and twenty seconds . Sometimes I'll only get a couple , other times they can go on and off for an hour or so . I was first diagnosed with an irritable uterus with my second baby as was having tightenings at 16 weeks that put me in hospital. Had that baby early (32wk after PROM at 26+5). Then baby no 3 I was on weekly progesterone injections from 16-36 weeks. I was diagnosed with an irritable uterus from 20 ish weeks though. I was expected to labour early but ended up having a section booked 6 days after my 37wk check as I was measuring 49cm (very petite frame and had big baby nd lots of water! ) and there was concerns for too much scar pressure during labour! Then this baby my midwife sent me to MAU as she was concerned about tightenings and scar pain. Dr's said that it's just my uterus being irritable as always ! After three babies , two sections , carrying baby number 4 is just the final straw lol . It's definitely my last lol !!

P's baby no1 I didn't have a single BH or tightening , yet when I went in to be induced on my due date (reduced FM and placenta function) I was a good 3-4 with bulging membranes. Within 30 min was in established labour, fully dilated after 2.5hrs , then pushed for 2hrs . So 4.5hrs for a first labour was pretty impressive lol xxx

This is interesting, I didnít know there were tablets but I was thinking of trying the tea out on a regular basis. I just bought a box over the weekend and had a lot of BH about an hour after drinking it, on and off all day then nothing the next day. Not sure if it was just a coincidence but was thinking of trying it again tomorrow at the 36 week mark!

I used the tea with my first four babies. My labors were all long, an induction that was 8 hours long and three natural labors that were 20-22 hours long (posterior positioned babies). I used the tablets with my fifth, but I didn't feel any BHs soon after taking them, so I wasn't sure they were actually working. On the day when I felt like I was going into labor, I forwent the pills and drank a big, STRONG cup of raspberry leaf tea. It was totally gross, but I just chugged it down. I got GOOD contractions after that and did go into labor in the middle of the night. My labor was literally 30 minutes long, from first contraction to a baby in my arms, so maybe the pills did work? But I still stood by Old Faithful. I'd go ahead and do the pills, but I always chug a cup when I feel like labor might be starting, and I feel it helps it along.

For the pills, I took 1 per day at 30 weeks, 2 per day at 31 weeks, 3 per day at 32 weeks, 4 per day at 33 weeks, and continued to take 4 when I remembered throughout the rest of the pregnancy.

That's amazing.
Do you know the dosage of the pills you used?
