Damn you leg cramps!!

I suffered when pregnant with my daughter and it would appear I'm going to suffer this time too!!

It's so bloomin' sore! My calf muscles can't take much more and I'm not due for another 11 weeks!

I've tried EVERYTHING! Drinking more, stretches, warm baths, vitamins and more. Ugh!

Argh they are the worst! My midwife told me to drink tonic water (not all day long) but I used to get them in evening and night and I would have a bottle of tonic water with dinner/before bed and seemed to help!

Pickle juice really helps too. Not sure if you have tried that.

Lol, I totally get it. My dad suffers from horrible leg cramps and he drinks it all the time and I know in a few weeks I will probably need it as well. I had the worst leg cramps last time. It does take some getting use to but it doesn't take alot.

Tonic water really does work. It has quinine in it which is what doctors used to prescribe for leg cramps.

I really don't like tonic water, but I'm willing to give it a try. Didn't get any cramps last night though. Hurrah! My calf muscles have still had enough though.

I'm going to try tonic water having read this. Jesus Christ in the night I woke up with a cramp in the back of my knee, steadily got worse until I tried to stretch my leg out and got such an intense cramp pain I literally JUMPED out of bed and shouted "F*CK" (like at 4am) and hopped around like an insane woman until it went away. Been killing me all day today.
Will be making myself a nice (disgusting) gin and tonic without the gin tonight I think!

id been getting them SO BADLY since I started the third tri, I started drinking a smoothie every night before bed last week and havnt had any since (with vanilla ice cream, banana, strawberries, and orange juice)

I'm still super careful in the night when I need to roll over that I don't stretch my legs too far as I'm afraid of a relapse, lol
