I'm having an elective section so luckily I will know when I'm going in. My mother in law works full time but she is able to take time off to take our son and my brother is available most of the week to drop him off to school and pick him up again. My father in law who lives on the other end of the city is also on call to keep an eye out at any time as he doesn't work so that helps. Were very lucky that we have people around us to help us manage all of the arrangements. Just need to get my date now then we can start putting plans in place.

Ultimately my mum will have her at my house, but since she works an hour away I've got a few other people on standby just in case as well. (Quick labor last time)

My eldest son will be at the hospital with us (was planning another home birth but denied due to being high risk from previous placental abruption) but he had his heart set on seeing his brother being born so he will come along with us and if mil gets to where we are in time she will stay with the younger two and if not hubby will stay with them and it will just be my eldest me and the midwives or just me and the midwives if he is not comfortable staying there without dh. We live in another state to any family and we have to leave our home town to birth as we live country with no birthing facilities so if I go into labor before 38 weeks when my mil flies in to watch them then I have no option but to birth alone or for eldest to be with me on his own

I'm having a planned section so was able to prepare in advance. My mum will stay with us the night before as we have to leave at 7am to get there for 8am and watch DD till my partner comes home around dinner time. If I go into labour early though, I have a bag packed to take her to mil and fil's as they only stay a few minutes away by car and my mum's an hour away x
