Sciatic nerve???

For the past few weeks now i keep getting a sharp shooting pain down the inside or my right thigh just where my leg meets my lady area if thats not bad enough, when it happens my whole leg gives way for a few seconds, it wouldn't really bother me too much but i nearly fell down the stairs yeasterday as my leg went dead when i was walking down
I have looked up sciatica thought maybe baby is laying on my sciatic nerve but the symptoms of it just seem so much worse than what i'm getting.
Anyone having the same thing?
Sorry to moan ladies but your the only ones who seem to understand
(moan over now) xxx

ive got exactly the same thing. Its like a horrible constant ache down the back of my legs, a long with shooting pains down my buttocks. Mine only gets bad when i have been laying down flat, then get up again. Its a nightmare with midnight loo trips. Ive literally been in tears from it some nights its soooo painful. My mw said its not SPD, and dismissed it as ligament pains. Now i know its not that, im sure its sciatica too xx

thankfully im not suffereing from sciatica this pregnancy i am suffering from spd though, siactic pain tends to be a shooting pain down the inside or outside of your leg caused by something pressing on the sciatic nerve in your spine and can caus your legs to give out , not normally causing pain when your lying down though so if you do get pelvic area pains when lying down then its more likely spd or a trapped nerve in your hip joints

I have already been diagnosed with SPD but this is just totally different, it doesn't happen when i'm lying down only standing and i don't get any pain down the backs of my legs or buttocks just my inner thigh right at the top, it's doing my bloody head in lol i don't want to be falling over i got some right funny looks in morrisons when my leg gave way standing at the tills lol
