How much Gaviscon is safe?

I bought some of the Gaviscon Liquid Sachets and wondered how many I can safely take in one day? It doesn't have any information for pregnant women anywhere on the packaging

My doctor gave me some. And I only need to take it a few times a week. http://www.gaviscon.co.uk/pregnancy/index.php but that's what Gaviscon have to say. Other than that, cant help you but didnt want to read and run. xx

I'm pretty sure it's not dangerous if you take a lot, there is no 'overdose' as such, but like someone above said it can cause bloating etc... I have awful heartburn and could easily swig it all day. I'm just trying to be sensible and put up with it as far as possible so I don't take too much. One sachet is only half a dose anyway, you're allowed 20mls at a time.

I've been prescribed bottle after bottle of Gaviscon Advance- that stuff is far thicker (and more effective in my opinion) than the liquid sachets and I've just taken it when required. I've been swigging from the bottle like there's no tomorrow and have had no probs at all. My feeling is, if it comes from GP, it's fine!
